Small Specialist Educational Needs Provision (from September 2025)

At Oldfield Brow Primary School, we are proud to announce the introduction of two new small specialist classes from September 2025, designed to support children with autism and those with complex social communication needs.

These classes will provide a calm, structured, and nurturing environment tailored to the individual needs of each child. Led by skilled and compassionate staff, the provision will focus on building communication, emotional understanding, and social confidence, while ensuring all children continue to access a rich and engaging curriculum.

This additional provision will support us in broadening our ordinarily available provision for children across the school, enabling us to meet a wider range of needs and provide even more personalised support for pupils who may benefit from a more specialist approach.

This development is a direct reflection of our commitment to "Inspire the Exceptional" in every pupil. We recognise that every child’s journey is unique, and we are dedicated to providing the right support to help each one thrive.

Rooted in our core values:

  • Respect – valuing every child’s voice, identity, and journey

  • Innovation – developing creative approaches to inclusive education

  • Collaboration – working closely with families, specialists, and the wider school community

  • Reflection – continually learning and improving to meet the needs of our pupils

  • Aspiration – believing in the potential of every child and helping them to achieve it

At Oldfield Brow, inclusion is not an add-on – it's who we are. These new classes will enrich our school community and further our mission to create a learning environment where every child is supported to feel confident, connected, and capable of achieving their very best.

We look forward to welcoming new families and building strong partnerships that reflect the shared goal of enabling all children to flourish.

Admission Information

Places in the new Specialist Support Classes are available only to children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and admissions are managed directly by the EHC team at Trafford Council.
