• Friday 15 November 2024 Anti-Bullying Week 2024 - Choose Respect Oh, what a week it's been at Oldfield Brow Primary! We've been knee-deep in the theme of respect as we celebrated Anti-Bullying Week 2024. The theme this year was 'Choose Respect'. We've had them crafting, creating, and collaborating on our new anti-bullying charter that would put the Magna Carta to shame. They've been discussing what respect means in the playground, the classroom, and even in the dinner queue!
• Friday 15 November 2024 Children in Need 'runPudsey' Challenge 2024 It is a tradition at Oldfield Brow that we celebrate Children in Need and raise money for those less fortunate for ourselves. This year, we took part in the 'runPudsey' challenge in which we completed physical challenges in our phases to raise money for Children in Need. • Friday 15 November 2024 Maths Week England at Oldfield Brow This week, our children have enjoyed celebrating #MathsWeekEngland by designing and then playing their number fluency games. We are focused on developing our number fluency at Oldfield Brow Primary School, and these games will be played for years to come!
• Thursday 17 October 2024 When the 'Vikings' Invaded Oldfield Brow On Tuesday, Year 5 was transported back in time with Erik the Viking to learn all about what it would have been like to live in Britain when the Vikings invaded!
• Thursday 17 October 2024 Chinese Teachers Visit Oldfield Brow Again Today, Oldfield Brow Primary School welcomed another group of teachers and headteachers from China to learn about our school and the UK education system.
• Saturday 5 October 2024 Cross Country On Saturday 5th October, Emma, Soraya, and Sophie represented Oldfield Brow in the first Cross Country event at John Leigh Park. Well done! We are so proud of you!

• Friday 27 September 2024 NSPCC 'Speak out. Stay safe.' Campaign This week, Oldfield Brow Primary School took part on the NSPCC 'Speak out. Stay safe.' program that is designed to remind children of their rights and the need to speak out if they are worried about anything.
• Thursday 12 September 2024 Headteachers from China Visit Oldfield Brow On Thursday 12th September, Mr Cash and Mrs Moody welcomed Headteachers of schools in China to Oldfield Brow to share with them how the education system in the UK works. Our children, as always, were our greatest asset and showed our visitors the very best of our school. We are excited to grow this partnership as we welcome more teachers and professionals from China over this term.

• Monday 22 July 2024 Peter Pan - The Musical Our exceptional Year 6 learners performed an OUTSTANDING musical performance of Peter Pan for the school, their parents/carers and family last week to standing ovations from everyone who watched. The signing was so powerful and the children delivered their lines with confidence and vigour. What a brilliant performance by our exceptional Year 6 learners! Well done!
• Monday 22 July 2024 Reception Visit to Imagine That! Our wonderful Reception children had a fabulous time on their visit today! They made snow, slime, bath bombs and fridge magnets, had fun in the role-play areas, and completed many experiments! I asked the children what the best part of their visit was and they said "all of it!"
• Sunday 16 June 2024 Year 6 visit the Wilderness! Last week, our intrepid Year 6 learners spent an entire week in the 'Wilderness' for their annual Year 6 residential visit. They had a fantastic time enjoying new experiences and applying our school values in an environment outside the normal classroom.

• Wednesday 20 March 2024 Parking Petition Success After securing over the required 500 signatures on a recent petition to make the roads and streets around our school safer, Mr Cash and Claire Knowles (parent) attended the full Trafford Council meeting on 20th March 2024 to present the petition to the full council. A HUGE thank you to Claire for her hard work and to Dylan and Thomas in Year 4 for representing, our exceptional learners. Below is a copy of the speech.
• Friday 15 March 2024 Oracy Education at Oldfield Brow Today, Mr. Cash and Mrs. Moody had a very early start as they took a train to London to attend the 'Speaking Summit' organised by Voice 21 as we begin to shape our school's approach to Oracy education at Oldfield Brow. We believe that Oracy is a key component in allowing all of our learners to achieve our vision of having the skills, knowledge and attitude to "thrive in a changing world" (School Vision, 2023)

• Tuesday 27 February 2024 Women's History Month at Oldfield Brow In assembly this week, it was great to introduce March as 'Women's History Month'. We focused on Emmeline Pankhurst as an example of a local woman from History who fought for equality for women in the 19th century. During the assembly, we continued to focus on our school values of aspiration, innovation and reflection but through the eyes of the 'Fantastically Great Women' who changed the world. Phase assemblies will focus on Women's History month this week and we will continue to learn more about these incredible women as the month progresses.
• Wednesday 7 February 2024 Premier League Visit to Oldfield Brow On Wednesday 7th February, Oldfield Brow welcomed representatives from the Premier League to our school as part of their national campaign to raise the profile of women's football. They brought with them the REAL Premier League trophy and we also had a question and answer session with England and Everton women's footballer, Izzy Christensen.
